I am a ceramic sculptor who lives and works from my studio located in Clareville on the beautiful Northern Beaches of Sydney. I first discovered my love for clay over 20 years ago, and since then, my journey has been one of exploration and creativity. I am largely self-taught, which allows me the freedom to immerse myself in various techniques. I enjoy experimenting with natural materials and continuously developing my own unique slips, oxide glazes, and terra sigilata, each reflecting my artistic vision and the organic nature of my craft.

My forms are constructed from thick clay coils, pinched to create refined walls. The dimpled textures result from this process, adding depth to each sculpture. Most pieces grow slowly over up to a week, allowing the clay to stiffen before adding more coils. Once dry, each piece is fired multiple times to ensure durability and beauty.

I find endless inspiration in my beautifully diverse natural surroundings—the breathtaking coastline of Pittwater, the ever-changing mood and colors of the ocean, the intricate textures of tree bark, as well as the unique shapes of rocks and shells scattered along the shore.

With my work, I aim to convey a sense of stillness and contemplation, inviting viewers to take a momentary pause from the fast-paced demands of everyday life. Each piece is crafted to create a tranquil presence, encouraging reflection and mindfulness.
